September Featured Artist ~ Kwanza Humphrey

We'd like to welcome Kwanza Humphrey as the featured artist at The George Schlegel Gallery at Roeland Park City Hall, 4600 W. 51st Street, Roeland Park, KS. The public is invited to view his works Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.  He will be hosting a reception and exhibit on Friday, September 21st from 5 pm to 8 pm.  You learn more about his work at http://khimages.com/design18/about.html.


Mr. Humphreys says of his Art: "The human form and portraits are what I enjoy to painting. I enjoy people and scratching below the surface to show the essence of humanity.  I try not to explain everything visually. I paint so that you look at something and see the emotion in it."
