New Youth Advisory Council Seeking Passionate Teens Looking to Make a Difference

The Council will be responsible for organizing the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Program which uses voluntees to assist local residents in need with property maintenance and improvements. In addition, the Council will make recommendations to the Governing Body concerning issues impacting yout in our City. Do you think we need a specific improvement in one of our parks? Do you feel there is another program the City could provide that would enhance youth engagement? Now is your chance to make a difference and get your voice heard! Roeland Park residents and/or students between the ages of 13 and 19 are encouraged to apply online as a volunteer. You will be officially nominated by City Council at a regular Council meeting. 

Terms of each member will be for one year with an option to renew as many times as you like as long as you are in good standing. Meetings will occur at minimum four times/year and may meet more frequently to accomplish certain goals. The first group will help shape this program for the future.
