The City's leaf program is a one-of-a-kind program in the Kansas City Metro area. In 2018, the program will have significant changes and we are asking our residents to please note the information prior to leaf pickup season. No longer are leaves allowed to be placed in the street. The leaves are now required to be placed behind the curb in front of your home for pickup. The City Council approved the pickup schedule which begins November 5th, 2018 and ends February 2nd, 2019. Each resident will have (3) opportunities for leaf pickup in front of their home, with the second leaf pickup being scheduled. Residents may also place their leaves in yard waste bags during their regularly scheduled trash pickup. For specific instructions on how to place the leaves behind the curb in front of your home please visit here and click on the Leaf Brochure link. Do not hesitate to contact Public Works at 913-722-2600 for any questions you may have. More information will be provided the closer we get to the start of our Leaf Pick Up Program!
