Introducing Project RISE Neighbors, Last year, the vision for a targeted economic development project emerged when our City and Council saw a need for targeted support for our small business community. For this endeavor, we partnered with the Northeast Johnson County (NEJC) Chamber of Commerce to fund a small business-focused initiative entitled Project RISE.
Project RISE is designed to offer a lending hand to area businesses in or looking to locate in the Roeland Park community with the goal to either launch from the ground up, maintain or grow their business endeavors. We want to see every storefront, every office occupied. It comes back to all of us. Those who live, work, play and shop here. We want to have a synergy across our City where businesses thrive. Project RISE will offer a one-stop small business shop to the community through a new platform. Through its newly launched website, Project RISE will centralize information on how to start, launch and grow your business. Featured topics will include diversity and inclusion, skilled workforce and available sites and locations. Additionally, viewers will find incentives and financing options along with educational resources, upcoming events and recent news relevant to the business community. Visit the Project RISE website to learn more at www.ProjectRISENEJC.com. You can follow Project RISE on Facebook and LinkedIn. Roeland Park is seen as a regional leader on many issues and initiatives, and this is just one more thing that Roeland Park is bringing to Northeast Johnson County. We are proud of our city and are excited to offer this new opportunity to our business community. If you want to open, maintain or relocate a business to Roeland Park, we are here to support you! All the best, Mayor Michael Poppa |
