Roeland Park Hires New Finance Director/Assistant City Administrator, Micah Rehmert
Kansas native joins team
Roeland Park, KAN. (May 3, 2023) - The City of Roeland Park is excited to announce that Micah Rehmert has been hired as the new Roeland Park Finance Director/Assistant City Administrator. Rehmert most recently served as the business operations manager for the South Central Kansas Economic Development District. In this role, he oversaw business operations and disbursement of grants to communities in South Central Kansas.
“I am proud to be taking on this role for the City of Roeland Park,” said Rehmert “One of the things that attracted me most to the City was its willingness to think outside the box. From glass recycling to the focus on the arts to its grant programs and more; the City and Governing Body have created a vibrant community that I’m excited to be a part of.”
Rehmert’s experience in economic development will help drive key initiatives such as development at The Rocks, management of City grant programs as well as continued award-winning budget management.
“Micah is the perfect fit for this position,” said Roeland Park City Administrator, Keith Moody. “We were looking for someone with a business background that also had a love for small communities. We are excited to add him to the team.”
Rehmert earned his Bachelor's Degree from Wichita State University and holds a Master's of Business Administration from Emporia State University.
