Please see attached northern and southern traffic control plans and detour routes for the 48th St road closure. Road construction on 48th St between Roe Blvd & Roe Lane will begin on Monday, September 25th and will require 48th St to be closed to traffic. This closure is anticipated for up to 30 days, weather depending. Southbound traffic on Roe Blvd coming from I-35 will be detoured south to Roe Lane, then east on Roe Lane to 47th St (County Line Rd). Northbound traffic on Roe Blvd from Johnson Drive will need to use Roe Lane to access 47th St. Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists to navigate around the construction area.
Motorists can access the Walgreens, Aldi’s, Casey’s gas station, and Burger King using the commercial entrance off of Roe Blvd or the commercial entrance on Roe Lane. Large delivery trucks should use Roe Lane to access the commercial businesses. Motorists will need to use Roe Lane to access Roe Parkway. Motorists traveling westbound on 47th St will be detoured at Roe Lane to go south to Roe Blvd.
