2025 Neighborhood Block Party Grant
Roeland Park residents may apply for a grant to host a neighborhood block party. Each grant will reimburse eligible expenses up to $100 per event. Neighborhoods may receive the block party grant once per year.
Eligible expenses are generally limited to disposable goods, which may include, but are not limited to:
- Food
- Paper goods
- Entertainment/performers
- Toys/items for kids activities
Ineligible expenses include:
- Alcohol
- Tent rental
- Stages and/or risers

To apply for the Block Party Grant, resident must first complete a Temporary Street Closing Application (pdf) and receive approval from the City prior to requesting a Block Party Grant. The grant application request must be submitted to Jennifer Jones-Lacy before the party. Receipts are required for reimbursement. The grant application can be found here.
